In the morning of February 15th, 2016 (ie January 8th on lunar calendar), Ba Vang pagoda spring festival 2016 (Uong Bi city) has officially opened.

Ba Vang pagoda, also known as Bao Quang Tu is located at an altitude of 340m above the sea. Through many vicissitudes and events in the history, the ancient temple just remains a ruin. In 1988, the temple was restored by wooden and until 1993, it was built by cement with an area of 55m2. In January 2011, the temple was started to build in large scale. After 3 years of construction to March, 2014, Ba Vang Pagoda officially inaugurated and put into use with large items such as Ngoi Dai Hung Bao Dien (4.500m2), the belfry (112m2), drum floor (112m2), Arhat corridor (200m2) and museum (700m2) …
Since its inauguration and put in use up to now Ba Vang pagoda is not only the spiritual pilgrimage of monks and nuns, Buddhists but also is one of the many tourist attractions to visit. It is known that in 2015 the temple was welcomed about 855,000 passengers.

In the opening ceremony of this year’s Spring Festival, along with traditional ceremony which is held solemnly, it also have other activities such as art performances to celebrate the festival, incense offering, releasing balloons for peace … Especially, in the opening day of festival, Ba Vang pagoda has prepared 2 thousand of free vegetarian meal to feed visitors.
