Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hanoi was established on May 19,1990 when the 100th birthday of Ho Chi Minh was celebrated. This construction is the expression of the profound gratitude of Vietnamese people to the great president Ho Chi Minh.

Unique works of architecture
Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hanoi is located at No. 19, Ngoc Ha Street, Ba Dinh District and where headquarters of the Party and State are based. This museum was designed by Russian architect named Garon Ixacovich and built with the help of Soviet Union’s people.
The building of museum is a chamfered square block having three floors with the height of 20 meters, and the length of 70 meters. The construction has the symbol of a white lotus flower referring to Lang Sen, the hometown of Ho Chi Minh. Four square blocks on the top floor are four doors towards Hung Vuong street, house-on-stilts, Ngoc Ha street and Nguyen Thai Hoc street and formed in the shape of lotus petals. The facade of the museum is a big relief work with the image of national flag interleaved with hammer and sickle as the symbol of Communism.
Located next to the building is an artificial lake with a diameter of 18 meters with Hòn Non Bộ carved from stone of Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh – more than 7 meters high. This lake helps to promote the harmony and the liveliness of the museum. Ho Chi Minh museum is surrounded by the cool space with a lot of green trees.
At the center area of the museum is placed a bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh. The statue is 3.5 meters high, 3 tons in weight and placed on a 0.6-meter pedestal. The statue of Ho Chi Minh takes the banyan tree and the sun as the background which symbolizes the light and the perpetual survival of the nation.
