Travel by air
ATR aircraft of Vietnam Airlines can carry 65 passengers with only two airlines, from Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho to Con Dao. It takes 50 minutes to move from Ho Chi Minh City and 35 minutes from Can Tho. The price for the flight to Con Dao from Ho Chi Minh City is 1,450,000 VND a turn, and that from Can Tho is 1,150,000 VND a turn.
Travel by boat
The boat of Con Dao 9 and Con Dao 10 is capable of accommodating 200 passengers. This boat departs from Cat Lo (Vung Tau) at 5 p.m and arrives at Con Dao at 5 a.m the following day. Due to offshore location and weather conditions, the schedule is often not fixed. Con Dao 9 and Con Dao 10 only operate in good weather. Best time to travel to Con Dao
From March to late September is the best time to travel to Con Dao. From October to February, Con Dao often has large waves. However, this time is the dry season, the whole space is always bathed in pleasant sunlight.
March to late September, the sea is quite calm. This period of time coincides with the rainy season, but the rain here is mainly downpour and usually last less than one hour, and then it is sunny.
